I'm trying to use WMP's CD ripping capability with some
lectures-on-CD and I'm having a fit trying to get my
"album" and tracks labeled.
After inserting the disk and going to the Rip tab, it shows

Windows Media Player 10  (10.00.00.3646) stops playing from play list after
one or two songs.  No error message and no reponse.
It just locks up and bogs down the rest of my windows XP SP2 system.
Online help has not been helpful.

WMP V10 XP-pro 2ed, etc. It seems when I try to run a mpg/mpeg type file
from the web it appears to load, then the mpeg starts the first frame or so,
then the video freezes. The sound continues normally.
I reclick on the mpeg from the web a 2nd time, it loads again, and all is

I am just wondering if i am the only one with this problem.  Everytime I
have media player opened, it keeps turning my monitor back on after power
settings turn it off...

This weekend I am trying to play online radio stations with WMP version 9.  I
get a pop-up error message on my desktop . . . "The file wmp.dll has a
version number of 9.0.03250 where 9.0.0.3008 was expected.  Windows Media
Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled. ...

-What file format? (Ex. AVI, MPG, MP3, WMA) WMA
-Where did you get the file from? --> Stream
WMP 10 only plays "buffered" video from web31 Jan 2006 07:14 GMT1
Have XP Pro SP2 running WMP 10.00.00.3802. When pulling video from websites
more often than not the player says "connecting" then "playing" but there is
no audio or video or anything execpt the eventual "encountered problem must
shut down, do you want to send a report?" Sometimes ...
