The Videos work fine, but there is no sound
Using the latest Media Player (v. 10 downloaded now)
V. 9 didn't work either

I noticed recently that when someone sent me an email message with .wmv
attachment, I got no sound with Windows Media Player (v10).  Doing assorted

There's no sound when I play a DVD. When playing a mpeg video or a mp3
there's no problem, but for DVDs i have no sound. The video is good, but I
don't even hear a small noise. Can someone help me, please?

Hi, when I try to play DvDs only the video comes up, but there is no sound,
but when i play music vides that i downloaded, they seem to work fine. I know
its not the cd's because they work on other computers.. Please help

after downloading media player 10, I get systems sounds, but when I play a
DVD movie I do not get any sound.   The mute is not on.  The captions is not
on.
What do I do to get sound from the DVD movie. The volume is turned up all

when i try to open a video on web sites a black box appear and in the satus
bar below it's written " ready ", but when i press play it show "opening
media" then it get back to " ready " and the video didnt open.
          Please help me.

I am running windows xp pro sp2.
System sounds are ok.
But DVD movies sounds do not play.  The movie plays but no sounds.

Don't know whats happened but when I play a DVD (that originally worked
fine), there is no audio. If i remove the disc and play an audio cd it works
fine. Aswell as music on file.
It seems to be only DVD's. But they worked fine a month ago???

Everything else on my computer has audio except for when i try watching a

i am able to hear all my windwos default sounds like the startup and the
shutdown but when i try to play them or any other mp3 file it appears to be
playing but i cannot hear anything. the same is with music cds.

Picture is ok, but can't hear audio from DVD's. CD play ok from same drive.
DVD's play audio ok with other programs. But I rather use WMP.

The video appears fine, but there is no sound.  This is media player 10, XP
sp2.  I also use musicmatch Jukebox 10 for music library, ripping to cd,
recording, etc, and it appears to work fine.
