Is there a way to get WMP to dispaly additional information about a track,
other than artist, track title and album?  I am interested in getting the
"Year" field in properties to display, if I could get the "Comments" field to
display also, that'd be even better.

Well this is the last option if i cant get it i give up!! I want to play avi

i have about 600 mp3 files on my computer.
for some reason, whenever i try to open them with windows media player, 200
or so do not open (no error message, simply do not show up on the playlist).  
they are still in my mp3 folder on my computer, but do not show up in windows

The 'Now Playing List' box was 'split' horizontally and the lower window was
'Albumn Art' (I think but cannot remember....).  I right-clicked on 'Now
Playing List' window and unchecked the option.  Now, unfortuantely, I cannot
remember how to get that lower box back.

Why does Media Player show double music files in the media player and
library?  How do you prevent this from happening in the future?

Is it possible to convert windows media audio/video format files to movie
clip format files like graphics files can be?

When I try to play a video file (for example AVI in Techsmith Codec) I get
the message:
"Windows Media player cannot play the file.The player might not support the
codec that was used to compress the file". The same thing happens for any

I have DVDs that I created with Arcsoft's "Showbiz DVD 2".  Other DVDs play
OK using WMP 10.  The Showbiz created DVDs play the video but there is no
audio.  Showbiz provides a Codec/AC3 Filter but I can't get WMP 10 to use it.
