I recently bought an MP3 player and couldn't figure out why it wasn't holding all the songs it said it would. I now realize that the WMA files in my Windows Media Player are set at 128kbps. How can I compress them to say 44kbps so I can fit more songs on my MP3 player?

Ok I use camtasia, a webcam. Whenever I try to open an avi it says that it cannot be opened due to corruption or does not have the codecs installed. I can not even open the avi sample that came with the logitech webcam. When I record avi's

I have a Compaq Presario 1670 laptop I've setup as a fulltime jukebox, with Win98SE and WMP 9 freshly installed. I placed WMP9 in the Startup and everything works wonderfully--plays for hours, amongst the 3000 or so tracks on a 30GB drive.

Strang problem; If I play WMV files in any(!) media player (WMP 10 of RealPlayer 10) the CPU load goes up to 100% and stays there. If I play MPEG, AVI or RM files via the same players the CPU load stays below 30%. So I guess it's a rather a WMV

When I try to play some downloaded files I would get a message or pop-up saying something like, 'player may experience difficulty playing this file. Would you like to attempt to play in anyway?' There's a yes and no box, and a box for ' keep this option for all files like this ...

i have windows ME and when i try to rip a cd to the computer wmp locks up after the first song gets to 99%..... the whole computer doesnt lcok up, only wmp.... any ideas of what's wrong?
