Intermittent/choppy audio playback17 Feb 2006 00:56 GMT2
WMP process sometimes jumps in its cpu usage with the result that audio
becomes choppy and the interface grinds almost to a halt.  I generally have
to close the program with task manager.
This problem occurs at random times - sometimes I can play a few albums with
Why won't WMP 10 stop playing?16 Feb 2006 23:56 GMT2
It's maddening! If I exit Windows Media Player 10, it
disappears from the Task Bar, Windows Task Manager says it isn't
running, but it just merrily keeps playing. If I was watching a clip,
the audio continues (restarting the clip when it finishes), if I was
WMP 10 Shows Duplicate Copies of All Music, All TV, etc16 Feb 2006 19:22 GMT1
I have this problem on both my computers.  WMP 10 has duplicate copies
of All Music, All TV, All Video, etc. on the left side of the screen.
The common factor is that I have the Napster plugin installed.  I can't
seem to figure out how to delete the duplicates, or why they were

I would be really grateful if someone could help me. I've been running MP

been unable to rip CDs because it has slowed down rediculously- I'm talking a
good five hours per CD! All the other features ...

Windows Media Player 916 Feb 2006 11:33 GMT1
Can anyone advise where Windows (or the media player) actually stores
the database data of my music collection?
For example, I have about 700 CD's stored in wma format on a Hard Drive
and I asked the media player to search for the files. This all works

Music/Clip plays on while Media Player is killed16 Feb 2006 05:18 GMT1
Strange. I had the Media Player on, looking at a clip, while playing an
Applet game in a IE window. I killed the clip, deciding to buy the CD later
on, but the music stayed on playing. After the well known Ctrl-Alt-Del
combination, the Media Player was not part of the active ...
Installing WMP1016 Feb 2006 05:15 GMT1
Alright, I've got a good question for you guys that'll twist your brain.
I recently uninstalled (or deleted?) Media Player. I think I had 10, most
recent, but I may have had 9. Reason: Library wouldn't work.
Anyway, I then went to the website and attempted to install WMP 10. For ...
