I am hosting a lot of content on a Windows 2003 media server for a swedish university. Latley i have heard of students trying to access streams like this (mms://willie.du.se/info) and get the message: C00D1198. For every 100 sudents there are about 2 that get this problem.

I've tryed instaling updates, I've tryed uninstalling it alltogether (to do a fresh reinstall - apparently this is not possible?) Its driveing me crazy, I've spent countless hours going through the faq / trouble shoot sites with no luck.

When I insert a DVD in my DVD writer, windows media player opens, says that it plays, but the screen stays black. I tried another DVD player software (AvantDVDPlayer) and it gave me this error message: failed to read video attributes hr=0x80040277. Can you help?
