I recently upgraded a windows 2000 pc to media player 9.0. There is no
sound at all to the computer for anything. Does anyone have a
suggestion or solution?

My problem is, that my user-profile-size is limited to 30MB. Now when I ad  
about 35.000 songs to my "Media-Bibliothek" (sorry, I don't know the word in
english), Media Player builds a database of my songs in my user-profile with

When opening a file on the hard disk in media player 10 it uses 100% CPU and
just hangs there. Same problem with Real Player.
Windows XP home on emachines. Fully updated. Norton anti virus (problem
still occurs if Norton disabled).

I found I could not rip MP3 files of any kind on my new Dell XPS. I followed
all the links to remove the low rate sample key and ended up deleting other
keys too. No help. I then removed the WMP component and tried to reinstall

When I attempt to use the Media Player, I get a message stating that it was
"Unable to download an appropriate decompressor".  "You've encountered error

I tried right-clicking on the taskbar and selected Toolbars but the WMP is

This used to work for me and now it doesn't. When I put a CD in to rip to my
computer, the Album information is not filled in automatically. If I go to
Find Album Info, I can find the album info ok. When I click Finish, it still
does not fill it in.

I have updated some album and artist names in my Windows Media library, but
when I synchronize "all music" to my portable device, the updates do not
appear.  Is there any way to update that information on my device?
