Hi there.  I just installed Windows XP Professional on my computer and tried
to listen to a MP3 file a friend sent me via email. This is the error message
I received:
You've encountered error message C00D0029 while using Windows Media Player.

I got duplicates when I populated the library with the automatic function.  
It picked up entries from both the C drive and my back-up, external drive.  
So I have copies of all my music (17gig) from both drives.  
Is there an easy fix?

Player will not shutdown when listening to music or videos when I click the

The play controls are no longer active on the taskbar WMP control.
I've tried re-installing WMP but to no avail.
Any suggestions please.

Just recently WMP has continued to play the content of the playlist even

I've been trying to use a 'Babel' website to learn a foreign language. When I
'click' on the 'ear' I don't hear the word being said and another screen

I had my XP system restored...but my old program files were saved, along with
my MP3 library as they are on a different hard drive. So now, when I start
WMP, I could easily scan and pick up my MP3's again, but I had my library all
tuned up with album artists and genres, etc., and ...

I just installed windows media player 10 on my laptop running window xp sp2.  
I did not have any problems with installation.  However, whenever I try to
play a video I never get connected.  I get the message 'connecting to media'

hi i am having trouble and would like to know how to fix this:
5th April All music in media player played fine.
6th April havent changed anything but windows says there is a problem with
my sound device yet when i go into other players like Realplayer, iTunes,
