I'm copying music from one PC over to the other, and due to occasions of two
instances of the same file having different filenames, they go unnoticed by
WMP and hence I have the same songs twice or even 3 times on the software.
Any way of deleting all multiples of same files?

I know this has been covered before, but after dozens of searches I can
find only questions and no actual solutions or explanations.

For some reason, in the left-hand column of the media-library tab, there are
two complete instances of the categories. First, there's the standard,
expandable list "all music, all tv-shows, all video files, etc..." and then,
under that, there's the same list again.

Whenever I attempt to use Windows Media Player I just get a black screen

The location of media on the Internet is compromised by URLs
that point back to the content source. Windows Media Player enable users to
see the location of the media clip that is playing rather easily (Properties
menu).

How do change the Mp3 music files that I have already ripped under 192 Kbps
to 128 Kbps to save space without having to rip all the cds again?

When I try to install WMP10 I receive a message that "It is not possible to
complete setup"  I've tried to reinstall but receive the same message.  In my

When I installed m-player 10 and searched for new music, i ended up with a
mess. For some reason it took a lot of music files that had the artists names
and classified them under "unknown artists".

burn some of the songs to a CD-R in MP3 format

For some reason my WMP stoped working and a messege poped up that said it is
not installed properly.  It gave me a link to WMP 10.  I tried to install it.
It went through the install process but it keeps saying it was not installed
properly.  I really need some help on this one.
