There is a column in WMP 10 with the heading of "protected". If a song has a
"no" in this column, does this mean that DRM is not present?

When I attempt to watch any video's on any websites I visit, as soon as I hit
"play" it immediately stops, not streaming or downloading anything.
If I go to properties, copy the url, and then paste that into "Open URL"

many of the music files i have seem to be in a format called MPEG4 and as a
result will only play in itunes, how may i convert them and consolidate all
my music files in windows media player?

I have just re installed xp sp2 and had a dvd player burner fitted, the
software fore the dvd is Power DVD, it works fine if i use Power DVD to play
a dvd but if I try to play it on windows media 10 I get a death screen with
30 seconds to power off , yet my media player search ...

I have just installed WMP10 and seem to have lost all my playlists. I can't
create or edit libraries, and when I hit the library tab all I get is a blank
screen. When I try to open a playlist I get an error which ultimately leads
to the very helpful message:

Hi, I'm having a problem with audio on my windows media player (9 series), it
plays the music and video in my media library with no problem, however when
it comes to DVDs, there is no sound whatsoever (I'm having no problem with
"Power Producer", so this problem must be isolated ...

wmp 10 and and other music players will not recognize my windows mobile 5
device. syncs fine with everything else on my computer. It use to work fine,

Since downloading Windows Media Player 10, I can no longer listen to the
local FM classical radio station. I receive error msg. "COOD1197 - HTTP 404
