When you first click on a Windows Media Player link (browsing in IE6), a dialog box asks you if you want to use the IE6 plugin or the stand-alone Media Player. If you don't uncheck the "Remember my preference" box, then you never see this dialog box again.

I get no sound using Windows media player. I tried it on installing it and reinstalling it and that did not work. Also I do not see it in my add or remove programs. But I do see it when I go into my computer, and then program files. So what should I do?
