I believe this is intentional but it's both inexplicable and annoying.

An iTunes user here, looking to make WMP11 my new media jukebox, but running
into the following problems:
- all my mp3s are tagged with artwork (embedded in their ID3v2 tags), but
WMP11 only detects art for about half them. Why is this? Is WMP11 sensitive

I was using WMP for ages, online, offline, no problems.
Then, one day, I attempted to watch a streaming video in the WM format and
the browser acted like WMP wasn't installed at all.

Installed yesterday and it's beautiful so far. Overall a vast improvement
over v10, especially, obviously, in the looks department.
Anyhoo, Some things I've noticed:
1) when I'm looking at the "Expanded Tile" view, I'm unable to sort by album

Can I simply and easily get rid of duplicate tracks if so how .I would like
to uninstall windows media player 11 and re build my library.Can this be

I tried to correct an album year by right clicking on the year label and
selected Edit. Then I entered "1996" without the quotes in the edit box. When
I pressed enter to confirm the year set on the album was 1995. This is 100%
repeatable on my computer.

I Have two Playsforsure subscription players, one a toshiba gigabeat and the
other a Philips psa235 (sports audio player.)  They both work fairly fine in
wmp10 (if not a bit slow.)
Now with wmp11 the toshiba syncs, though it freezes wmp11 every so often

Hello to everybody. My p'roblem is that I have downloaded WMP11 beta version
and it detects my creative zen micro, it recognizes all the songs, playlists,
albums…but IT DOESN’T ALLOW ME TO PLAY THEM from//within the player. I would

I primarily use wmp to play music, not burn cd's, etc..  I have 9997 mp3's,
legal - got the cd's to prove it, wmp 10 and 11 seem to handle them all just
fine, plays great.  But there are some things that I was hoping would be in
wmp 11, they seem simple to me....

I thought I had read that wmp 11 was going to feature podcast support - Does
anyone know if this is true, becase I can't seem to find anything along those
lines in the beta? Is this planned to be added before official release?

I'm using WMP ver 10.00, and just beginning to learn more about its in-depth
capabilities, wondered if some pro's might help with some basic questions
below.

"iPod" and "iTunes" are great brand names !
"Windows Portable Player" and "URGE", just don't ring my bells !
How about better catcher names like, "wPod" and "wTunes" will do,
