selected files into the playlist, it will open each file one by one without
playing them, until the last one opens, and then it will start playing.

Hello, My problem is that my Windows Media player Boots up on its own
I have done everything from running various spyware programs and
antivirus programs and EXAMPLE (LavaSoft AdAware anti-spyware software

Whenever I try to open an avi file by right clicking/selecting open, when
the open with box opens the "always use the selected program to open this
kind of file " option is greyed out.

Over the last several years, WMP has gotten hard and harder to use. I just
spent neaarly an hour just trying to turn off visualizations. I find
configuring and using programs like Visual Studio 2005 much, much easier than
WMP 9.

 Does anyone know why it is taking so much more time to rip a cd than it

Have a Dell notebook with WMC/SP2 & WMP 10 build #4019 on it.
When you attempt to burn a cd, you get the message "Interface Not
Registered".
Pursuant to suggestions of others on newsgroups, have tried a reinstall, but

I can't use the standard Microsoft audio codecs on my computer anymore,
they simply have disappeared.
If I try to re-install "WM9Codecs.exe", from
www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/format/codecdownload.aspx

Running WMP 9 under Win98se.  No avi files will play, they result in 'Class
