I have encountered an “assertion failed” message after first trying to play
a cd using Windows Media Player version 11 Beta on my computer, which is
running Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2.

I have windows XP SP2 and WMP version 10. I can no longer see movies when I
click on a link it opens the player but I get the error message  8007007A
(The data area passed to a system call is too small). Way is this and how do
I fix it? I have tried everything I can think of and ...

When exiting media player the window disappears (not shrunken in mimi mode),
but the audio continues to play as if the player is open. The only way to
stop the audio is to open task manager and find the wmplayer.exe and close it
there.

Seeing as Windows Media Player 11 is still a beta there is still a number of
bugs in it.
So far I have found two bugs,
If I try to edit the year for any album, it will update it as one less than

As the title says.  Anything I click on that is a link in IE7 and/or
Firefox won't play.  There is not crash the links just won't work.

Hi, I'm having some problems with my windows media player. I've been
using it for a couple years (i think) and it JUST started acting up.

transfered album art to be displayed on the Z5.  There are two problems with
wmp11 so far- firstly, no album art is synced to the player with the tracks.

drive, changes I make on one are not relected in the others - is there a way
(or going to be a way) to enforce changes to keep the info stored current for
all machines accessing the same library

Can a PC running WMP10 be a DMR client to another PC running Windows Media
Connect? I can't see this in the WMC FAQ.

I'm using a parameter in wmp shortcut to autoplay classic fm:

however, it's just stopped working because they have now changed the format

I want to export songs from Windows Media Player to iTunes, but it tells me
that it can't because my songs are in WMV format. Can I change the songs from
WMV format to another? And my songs are protected, so can I change them so
they're not protected?

I am unable to play certain ASF files on Windows XP, SP2. Tried Media
Player 10 and 11. Also tried several other players that I downloaded

I am trying to watch videos from sites like putfile.com. But I am
always getting a green screen. I am able to hear the voices from the
