wmp's been working fine for me until recently it suddenly stopped playing mp3 files. whenever i try to open a mp3 file using wmp it says "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close. " these are the details:

I had deleted the uninstaller folders for WMP 11 and the critical WMP updates. But now I want to uninstall WMP 11 as it is not compatible with some of my webstreaming sites. I put back a friend's uninstaller folder and ran the uninstaller. It rolled back WMP 11 but not Format ...

I get sound from some things but when i go into the radio to lissen to the horse racers, i cant get any sound, it says i have a 80040256 problem, but when i looked i could not find that error, thanks for any help.

Just recently I now have to save a.wmv file before I can play it. Before this I could just click on the attachment in Outlook Express and media player would open and it would play no problem. Any ideas anyone?

in WMP 10 you could minimise to tasktray and it would show you a "play pane" when your mouse hovered over the task tray. it would also show what song was playing. how do i do this in WMP 11 or can i not do it.

I have screwed something up and need some help. Media Player 10 used to play avi file fine. Now I get the message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found." Where do I get the required codecs?

I have a PPC 6700 pocket PC running Windows Mobile 5.0. It has a video recorder that saves files in MP4 format. I would like to be able to play the mp4 files on my XP laptop with windows Media player 10. When I try, it says it doesn't recognize the file type.

I've got the Beta WMP11 and have Nero loaded. The advanced tab under DVD lets you select the S/PDIF option so when playing DVD's my Yami Amp can do the Dolby Digital decoding. The only problem is the S/PDIF checkbox will NOT stay checked - I have to go in each time I play a DVD ...

Is double clicking to open a jpg supported in Media Player 11? When I looked at files supported jpg was not there. Is there possibly a downoad plug-in or something? Thanks

I have been asked to record some previous eastender episodes(sad person) they are in the Air Force and having to move location and they do not want to miss any episodes, but cannot seem to get media player to stream them or to save them to hd.
