WMP 10 which i used to have on my comp recently stopped working and when i
opened it it just said 'an internal application error has occured' so i
downloaded the WMP 11 beta software and installed it but the programme still
wouldnt open, so i followed the instructions in the FAQ ...

I have a large .wmv video file (roughly 200MB) that I had started playing, but 60% into the video, I get this error.
All of my decoders are updated, and I don't use any purchasable ones.  What could be wrong with playback if more than half of it has been able to play ok?

Summary: Other views [album, artist] allow typing in characters to jump to
their appropriate start point, e.g. 'K' to get to Kraftwerk or the beginning
of the K items etc. However in library / songs mode one cannot do this.
Makes it pretty clunky to try to get to a certain letter ...

I have an notebook with an integrated VGA. the laptop has a WinDVD
version 5 installed. when i play mpg files on media player and take it
on the extended display the media player shows a black screen. if i
play mpg file on winDVD 5 and take it on the extended display it playes

Does anyone know how to mix/fade 2 songs together one behind the
other.......A playlist is not the answer for me.

How do you increase or decrease the size of the album art image that shows in
the now playing screen of media player 10?

I really don't like the organization of music in WMP11, when i want to order
by artist it separates each one by an annoying BOLDface, underlined section
of the artist name and then the songs are underneath.  Also, if the artist
name is featuring someone then it puts a NEW section ...

Being able to locate a song quickly by title is very important. In WMP10 I
could click on a the column heading "Title" and then type the first letter of
the song title (or even the first few letters) and WMP would take me to the
songs beginning with the letter.

I'm using Windows Media Player 10 Version: 10.00.00.4019.

How do I get swf files to play in Windows Media Player? These files work
fine in Internet Explorer.
I get a security error warning when I try (in WMP).
Note: I am referring to swf files that have been saved on the local drive.

I have earlier used Theatertek and ZXoomplayer with FFDshow to improve image
quality. But with Microsofts Media Player this is not possible I think. How
can I improve the quality in this player??? And get a picture quite as good
as the others with FFDshow??
