Does WMP11 actually change mp3 and wma tags?04 Jun 2006 18:31 GMT1
Have just been "cleaning up" tags in WMP11 (fixing years, album titles
etc) to make sure all the  tracks on each album have the same details.
I have just noticed that unlike in WMP10 the tags dont seem to update
instantly. If I view the file in an explorer window all of the old data

all except that there is a message saying that the player is working in
background trying to add files to the library. Even when i use the add to the
library option it does not work. Has anybody faced ...

WMP11 - Adding To Library Problems04 Jun 2006 07:28 GMT5
Everything in Windows Media Player 11 is fine- except for the fact that it
won't remember anything I do. I tell it where to find my media files, yet it
never finds them- even when I let it sit for a couple hours! And even when I
drag and drop a song to my Library, it still ...

Syncing in WMP1004 Jun 2006 05:50 GMT1
I encountered problems with WMP11 not displaying my library, so I rolled back
to WMP10, and now my MP3 player (Sansa e250) will not display in WMP10 when
the player is set to MTP mode.
Is this error due to WMP software or the firmware on the player?
Why can't Microsoft use my XP Visual Style in their applications?04 Jun 2006 04:31 GMT5
I hate the new WMP 11 look.  Perhaps it would look remotely OK in Vista with
Aero Glass, but my skin is a Wood design that does not match at all.  They
demand we follow their UI standards -- and them ignore them.  What a load of
baloney.
WMP crashes when it tries to play any file at all.04 Jun 2006 00:05 GMT10
I use WMP11 since yesterday, but before I had 10 obviously.  When I try to
play any files at all, picture, music, video, WMP crashes.  I double click or
open, it hangs for a minute, then gives me an error message.  I didnt see any
index code number, but if someone tells me where ...
Equalizer03 Jun 2006 23:46 GMT3
When I look very closely at the equilizer in WMP11, I see bars moving where
the sliders are to adjust the equalizer.  It's so subtle though that I can't
hardly see it.  Could they make it more noticeable?  As you can call this a
bug request.  Thanks.
WMP 8.00.00.4487 -- risky?03 Jun 2006 23:25 GMT5
I'm using XP Home SP1.  My version of Windows Media Player is
8.00.00.4487.  Is it vulnerable to security attacks?  Do I have to
upgrade or apply any updates?

Memory/CPU03 Jun 2006 21:52 GMT5
The new media player works really well when nothing else is open but i have
found it takes a massive amount of CPU time and loads of memory. This makes
the tracks skip when lisening with other applications open. Has anyone else
has this? HAve you looked at the task manager when ...
I/O operation???03 Jun 2006 21:24 GMT1
I am having trouble synching my portable device with Windows Media.  The
transfer is going very slow, taking a long time, and ultimately failing.  I
am getting a message that says "The I/O operation has been aborted because of
either a thread exit or an application request".
