Windows Media Player11 & IE/FF26 Jun 2006 21:19 GMT5
I installed WMP11 a while ago and I now notice that because of this the
version used to play videos on the net is lower than 9 (maybe 5? I'm not
sure). Nevertheless, it's not using 11, or 10 and it causes me problems when
trying to watch video via embedding. Any clue how to help?

Playing E-Books26 Jun 2006 08:23 GMT1
Is there a way to enter a book mark so that you can exit WMP or put your
machine on stand-by and then come back and start at the point at which you
placed the book mark?  Any way to avoid starting the book over or fast
forwarding to the point you think you stopped at (rather ...
'missing' codecs26 Jun 2006 06:49 GMT2
I keep getting error messages when trying to play some .mpg or .mpeg video
files downloaded from the net. Most .avi video files will not play at all,
even when there is no 'missing codec' message. The message says that 'some
codecs cannot be found or are missing'. When I click on ...
wmplayer.exe loading at startup26 Jun 2006 06:05 GMT9
This is probably not a big deal but I was just wondering how to stop Windows
Media Player from loading at startup. The application itself doesn't open
but if you bring up Task Manager, it's there under Processes and I was
wondering if it really needed to be running.
Problem with Gigabeat S60 and WMP 11 MTP Drivers26 Jun 2006 03:46 GMT7
I installed WMP11 beta a couple of weeks ago on my Dell Dimension 8400 MCE

I can't seem to get WMP11 to install properly.  I was originally having the
0x80070005 error, and used http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#Install to correct
that based on the posts on here.  Now, I'm getting 0x80070003 AND 0x80070005
in the wmsetup.log.  After fixing 0x80070005 it ...
Started ripping and cancelled, now I get no track info at all25 Jun 2006 23:44 GMT6
as the subject says, I started ripping a CD and when I put it in, it
showed the album art and track information. I hit the rip button, but
realized I had set the wrong encoding format (I wanted to rip to WMA
lossless and it was set to mp3), so I immediately hit the cancel button. ...
