I recently fiddled around with various audio and DVD settings, trying
to get DVDs to play back without choppy audio. What finally cured that
was a DVD drive firmware update from Dell. In the course of fooling

when I play back movies from downloaded files or other the picture is almost

I'm using WMP 11 on XP with SP2.
Frequently I change tags in an album, only to find that a minute or two
later WMP changes some of them back to what they had been. This seems to
occur with changes to titles, genres, and track numbers.

Will Windows Media Player 10 run on Windows 2000 Professional?
If so, will the install over version 9?  Or, create a seperate installation
just for version 10?

This has probably been asked before, but I cannotget WMP10 to display
"phantom listings" for multiple artists.  This used to work in older
versions of WMP.  I can't remember if you used to have to list artists'
names separated by a comma or semi-colon, but I've tried both and

I've been trying to install wmp 11 however everytime I do I get an error
message which reads:
"It was not possible to complete Setup. Click on the button to get web help.

Media Player 11 beta changes date modified timestamp of some mp3 files.
I have tried to change settings (unchecked everything in library tab)
to prevent this but it still happens to some files.
Any suggestions?

It may jst be me being an idiot, but I'm having trouble changing the release
date information in WMP11. When I try to edit the information in the library
screen (right-clicking the current information, selecting edit, then
changing), media player changes the value I have entered, ...

I am curious to know if it is possible to modify WMP 11 to only use the data
from AMG for album info instead of searching through the other databases that
it usually does.  I seem to always find what I want in the AMG database and
dont need the other stuff to show up.

Since upgrading to WMP 11, I have found it very difficult and confusing to
combine albums where the only difference between them may be a typo, or
incorrectly entered media information.
Example: I have a couple of Beatles tracks from Abbey Road from the Beatles

I get this error after a couple minutes of a fresh boot after uninstalling
windows media player 11!!

I was trying to burn a CD and I get this error code 80040155.  It also says
"Interface Not Registered"  
I had no problems with my old computer but now I have a Dell Dimension and
