I just upgraded to version 9 (Windows 2000) of Windows Media Player and now there is an icon on the left side of the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, right next to the Windows Desktop icon. I want to get rid of this icon, it takes up space and I don't use it. But I can't find ...

I tried adding all the music on my computer to the Media Player library but in some cases the title was edited to eliminate the artist name or change the title. I want them all added just as I have them listed and sorted in my files directory. How do I make sure this happens ...

When I try to import my iTunes files to WMP, it works fine with AddFolder. It stores it in OtherMedia wihtout any Album, Artist , Genre info etc. Is there any way to import my itunes library structure or do I have to rip it all once more with WMP ?

It seems to be that it's not possible to make use of advanced tag editor regarding wav files. Does anyone have a solution for this.

Windows Media Player version 10.00.00.4036 Windows XP home edition 2002 service pack 2 Before now it was possible to play mpeg and avi files, some of them however don't show an image anymore, I can still hear the sound but I don't see

Can anyone tell me how I can transfer mp3s downloaded from iTunes to Windows Media Player, version 9? When I try I get a message that WMP doesn't support the format of iTunes and gives error code C00D11CD. I'd be v grateful for help.

There is a site from which I previously had no difficulty streaming and/or downloading and playing WMV clips. I am now suddenly unable to play some of their WMV clips whether I stream or download. (You can select the MOV format as well, which still works.)

I have been doing backups... and every time I copy WMP the copy is locked and they just proliferate. The info section has the locked box unchecked, but there are apparently lots of invisible files that are locked. This is really irritating. Please help, Bruce

I get no sound with Windows Media Player. All other sound programs/devices are fine, e.g. Real Player, Itunes etc work fine. I have reinstalled wmp 10, no help.
