WMP 11 crashing while loading stream at www.ninjatune.com/solidste18 Aug 2006 02:07 GMT2
I get a crash every time while trying to load the stream at
www.ninjatune.net/solidsteel. I have Visual Studio installed and I get asked
to open it as the debugger with the following message:
   An unhandled win32 exception occurred in wmplayer.exe[1460]

There appears to be a bug with WMP11 lossless decoder. I have only found it
on 1 song so far but others have found it as well (search this forum on 8/15
- lossless encoder bug).

Now, I use Windows Media Player 11 Beta for Japanese.
I listen web radio by the use of WMP11Beta, but it is not able to listen
that some contents with the object of sales promotion of a Japanese

This is a reletively clean system.  I just installed Windows 2000 Pro,
applied all the critical updates and Windows Media Player 9.
All of the AVI files created by mu Canon camera exhibit the same
problem... no video but sound is okay.

I have the following problem with WMP 11.
I have 2 mp3 albums, "Nirvana - The Best of" and "KoRn - The
Best of" that I want to add to my WMP-library.  The songs in
both albums have fully filled in ID3-tags (v1 & v2.3) --

We use Windows Media on any one of three computers to link together tracks
and burn to a CD for playback at a local radio station.  These computers can
all access a common drive on a fourth computer.

When I rip a song in WMP 11 using the wma lossless encoder and play it back,
I end up with a wma file that stutters (basically skips one or two notes or
beats followed by a slight change in pitch) halfway through the song.

When ripping a CD in Windows Media Player 10, the player automatically
gets the song and album data from some repository.  However, I have
several CD-Rs where I burned 2 CDs onto one, so does anyone know of a
