I recently reinstalled xp pro on my computer and when I attempted to play

After I upgraded to WMP 11 , I lost my decoder. I cannot play a DVD.
Everytime I insert a DVD a message comes, it says WMP cannot play the DVD
because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. When I go

Recently purchased a song from MSN Music and In the download status it got to
1% left.  I came back the next day to a notice from Win XP that my HD drive
was full.  After some sleuthing I found that WMP had thousands of copies of
the file on my HD (55GB worth).  Two questions

Hi, I have to ask some of the experts in this group how to get avis to
play in WMP9 or Bsplayer. All over the Net the avis I download will not
play correctly in either video player. First, one quick question..why
is everyone making avi files if they don't want to perform in basic

I have used my WMP to burn discs in the past and recently tried to do more,
but it wouldn't work.  It goes through the normal process of buffering,
reading, transfering etc then spits out the CD with nothing on it.  What
gives?  Not sure if I changed some important file issues.  ...

I have WP10. I have been able to rip music from my CD to my PC fine until
about a week ago. Now anytime i try to rip my music to my PC i get the
unknown error message. The only thing i have changed in the last week is I
upgraded to WMP 10. Whats going on? Any help is greatly ...

how long does it usually take to scan the media files.
i hit Add to certain folders and blah.
when i click libary it says nothing added-scanning folders in the
background, does this mean that its adding my music. i have alot and a not

In previous versions of Media Player, I could click on the screen or press
the space bar to pause/play video.  How can I option Media Player 10 to do

Using fully updated XP Home, WMP10 on Sony desktop with P4 2.4 GHZ and 1 GB
RAM, NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440(Sony) video adapter.  Plenty of hard drive
space.  This problem has developed since June of last year when I used this
system to develop a DVD.  Now WMP won't even read the MPG ...

a friend sent me some music through e-mail as an attachment when i try to
open it, it says windows cannot open it because it needs to know what program
created it so i select  use the web service to find the program and it won't
go through so i try to open it with media player ...

I'm having trouble Burning A Data CD & HighMAT Audio CD Files to play on my
DVD & CD Players as it doesn't seem to be working. Also I can't seem to
convert WMA Files to MP3 Files Via Microsoft Plus Audio Converter as I keep
