the WMP ActiveX control. I've tried it under a number of security zones when

I can't get my Media Player version 9 to work since I've moved, though
everything is connected and in place just the same as it used to be.  I have
the speakers hooked up and I hear the sound when my modem dials out.  I've
tried a few things that are suggested on the MSN sites ...

To be able to view downloaded video files on a TV that has a DVD player, what
type of CD do you need? I have been using I think audio ones that show error
when played on my TV. Thanks

I asked this question before but still don't have an answer. Searched the
whole microsoft site and couldn't find an answer there also.  I am wondering
if I convert back to an older version (6) of media player that I had on my
old computer if this would work.

Why am I getting this message?  This never happened on my old computer.  I
am getting it on most all (95%) my songs.  All my playlists also give me
this message.
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another

WMP 10 on XP. All other windows "event" sounds available. Other programs
play sounds per normal: real player, WinDVD, iTunes all seem to work.
Should I uninstall WMP?
Is there another way to solve this?

i installed windows media player 11 (wmp 11). But the program always crashed
after 5 a 8 seconds... so i searched for a uninstall program. but there
wasn't any on my pc. than i threw off wmp 11 in the recycler. but some files
won't go in the recycler and i can't install wmp 10 or ...

I'm currently ripping my cd collection to media player and have started to
have problems with sound whilst ripping cd's unable to do other tasks in
media centre like watching pictures.

I just got the new LG VX8300 from Verizon & bought a microSD to store all of
my media files & make transfering between phone & PC quick & easy.  Just
found out today that Verizon phones don't support .mp3 files, only .wma
files.  Anyway I can encode my existing music into .wma?  ...
