AVI files plays fine if they are located on the desktop, but not when
they are coming from a internet server in WMP9, WMP10 or WMP11. But
this only happens on some PCs with XP and not on others similar ones.
WMP don't identify the error.

When I play one particular video clip on my PC my PC Restarts and shows that
it has recovered from a serious error.
This has happened with all the media players.
The error report :

I got WMP11 a while back but when i try to rip a CD it just turns off?Well,it
shows the album,songs,info etc but as soon as i hit 'Rip CD',off it goes.Now
its started doing it while playing from library or trying to burn CD's,ive
backrolled it to WMP10 and removed the MSN ...

How do I stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service from loading.  
I'm not on a network and do not need this service.  I have de-selected "Share
my media" in the Options menu and disabled the service in the control panel.  
Nevertheless when my machine reboots it ...

I recently installed and removed and then reinstalled IE7 and now WMP does
not want to play web streaming video. I opened up WMP and clicked some of the
MSN videos but I am not able to play them. Same thing happens on other web
sites.

When WMP starts searching to add content to my library it finds 27,000
+ items yet only adds 18,000 + items. They all appear to be there but
the records processed messages aren't particularly reassuring.

When I play any kind of video format in Windows Media Player, I watch
it fine except when I enter Full Mode. Then, sound plays but no video,
just black.
Why does it happen? Even in WMP 10 and 11.

If you add songs to a folder that is already shared, after media player has
found them, you can't play them on the 360. To work around place songs in
another directory and add this directory to the share list.

What can I do to correct this error?

This may seem a silly question but is it possible to watch a video file
on media player 9 without a sound card? We have a few videos at work
that we would like to watch but we are unable to put a sound card into
the pc.

Well I have been trying to install Beta 2, I have had it installed before but
rolled back to WMP 10 today (want to go back to 11 now...). When I get to the
end of installation it says I need to connect to the internet to finish. Well
I am connected to the internet.

" but continue to get the "On-Line Install Required" error message.
Please explain how to instll with the "/Q" option.

Can anyone help with the error C00D11DA - downloaded music from wal-mart
music downloads and when I go to play them it says cannot play burn or
sychronize an error occured with the licensing????  Any help would be

Here's the deal. HP Pavilion Notebook, Intel Celeron 2.8, 512meg ram, 80 gb
HDD, mostly empty, XP Home, SP2, all available updates, Media Player 10.
with all updates.  Player has  been working fine, playing pretty much
anything I wanted to.  I use Media player 10 for all audio ...
