Hi everyone. I'm moving across to WMP 11. It all seems great apart from one
thing that I miss from itunes - the file organiser. How does this work in
WMP11? What I want is for newly imported files to be copied into my music
folder and automatically filed under the artist/album ...

I've thoroughly gone through the troubleshooting and made the suggested
adjustments, and the streams are still unwatchable.  Can anybody help me?

I have a Friend rip some CDs of mine and he thought he'd be cool and rip
them all at 256kbps...
So now my MP3s are all huge and taking up more space then they need to.
Is there anyway to batch process them all and convert them to a smaller bit

I have a problem with wmp10/11 only
this morning i went to play some music, mp3 and wma, wmp seems to be playing
the music but there is no sound coming into my speakers.

How can I get back this codec.  For some reason it is missing.  I cannot play
files that I was able to play about a month ago.  WMP looks for codec, but
does not find it.

After checking show updates in Add and Remove Programs, Windows Media Player
10 is not listed. If I try to reinstall "A more recent version of Windows
Media Player is already installed" Media Player is installed on the computer.
I uninstalled some of the Updates related to Media ...

I am using Windows Media Player 10.00.00.4036 on a Windows XP SP 2-based
computer.  I am trying to burn an audio CD, and I was able to convert most of
the files to WAV.  However, I have one WMA file I want to add to the mix.  A
couple of questions:

My mpg files wouldn't play in WMP10 on my PC, but it would play on another
PC. I downloaded WMP11 hoping all the missing codecs would already enable to
correct the problem, but still, no go!
Error code I get is: C00D11B1

Whenever I try to play any wmv file in any video playing software my cpu sky
rockets to 100%(mainly WMP).
I've tried a fresh reinstall but no go, any suggestions would be appreciated.

How can I have WMP clear album from ID3 tags and not populate it? I want as
