For work I need to be able to start/stop play on Windows Media Player quickly
from my keyboard.  (Essentially, I am trying to replace use of a footpedal
w/use of keyboard shortcuts.)  Can I create keyboard shortcuts for these
functions?  How?

how do I change the avi icon? I blends in to well with all the other types so
its hard pickup quickly.

I rip a track from a cd to mp3, Id tag in unicode (chinese), but after
typing all word, click apply, it doesnt reflect the changes in windows
explorer!

What about a cut aand paste feature in order to add songs to different
albums? now with the drag and drop it is difficult if someone has thousands
of albums and songs

Whenever I roll back my wmp10, it rolls back just fine, but after installing
the wmp9(the previous version), It shows and error that wmp was not properly
installed and has to be reinstalled everytime I open wmp up.  I have even
tried to reinstall wmp9 on top of itself again and ...

I get no sound from WMP 10 - for CDs. DVDs or webcasts.  Using other software
CDs and DVDs play correctly.  I have reinstalled WMP 10, updated DirectX and
applied recent WMP security update.  Still no sound from WMP 10.  Any ideas?

when this began.. I uninstall the WMP11 beta1 after I uninstall it then I
wanna install WMP11 beta2 ,when process 80% shows can not install.. even I
try to install beta1.

I would like that a function was added to media player 11:
"player on top only when it play".
I known that it is comfortable in order to see the video in media player
when it's a small window.

I have tried everything but wmp v10 will not play normal audio cds. It
give the reason as a codec issue with code C00D1199. However if i log
off my profile and onto another on this computer then everything plays
fine.

I've downloaded the latest installer for WMP 11 beta 2 and after it validates
it won't acknowledge that I'm connected to the internet and just says to
restart installer after my computer is connected to the internet.  I have a
D-link wired router but I haven't encountered any ...

IN WPM10 you could scroll through the list of artists in the library pane
very quickly but now I have to scroll through each album which takes ages. OK
its quick if you use the search bar but I like mouse-only browsing. Also in
this vein, where has double click to queue in Now ...

Is that Windows doing that, or is the WMP SDK helping?  How is that
done?  I'd like to add that functionality to a C# app.

I'm experiencing the same problem in Version 10 and 11...
I created a short avi with my canon camera and playback on the TV or camera
works fine.. Play back on the computer doesn't play audio...however every
10th attempt or so it does...and the mute button isn't turn on...I've ...

Player.  Later this afternoon I went back to my Media player and they were
gone.  I closed and reopened my Media Palyer and they were still missing.  I
