The "find album info" in WMP11 is very dodgy, use it at your peril. I'd
recommend leaving the "update information" setting off.
I have found several albums that when I click find album information, finds
the right album but it updates the metadata and file names to the wrong

There is a feature found in some other video players like Winamp and digital
player/recorders like TiVO to skip forward or backward a specific amount of
time.
I had hoped that this "skip by" seeking feature would be included in WMP 11

I have Windows XP Pro S.P. 2.
How would I put this program icon on my desktop? The prior version that I

When I play a DVD in WMP (10 or 11), no sound comes through.  I get the
video, but not audio.  I've downloaded the codec from the Windows website,
but still no go. No problems when I play with other media programs, but I
like the sound of WMP more. No error shows when I play, so ...

is connected via USB. The Phone appears as a removaable drive and I can see

Some WMV files allow me to click on the progress bar to reset where in
the video to play from, but other WMV files don't...they ignore my
attempts to try to re-position where I want to play the video file

I have installed WMP 11 and really enjoyed it since.

I upgraded to Beta 11 ver and now when I play video sets I have made up it
has no colour,,is there a way of re-setting. I can adjust the colour balance
etc but this needs to be done each time.
So how can I set it back to default settings please?

I have the Matrox Mpeg-2 codec installed on my machine, but when I open a
Matrox encoded m2v file using WMP 10, it has to go to the web and search for
the Matrox codec.  When it can't find it, it doesn't play the file.
How can I get the WMP to recognize that I have the Matrox ...
