Distorted Sound when playing wmv files15 Oct 2006 22:46 GMT2
I am unable to play wmv files on my main PC although they play OK on my
backup machine.
Although the video is perfect the sound is similar to a 100 violins playing
out of tune.

When I play videos I only see 1/4 of the picture.
I am using Windows Media Player 10, with the DivX codec installed.
.Avi files and .mpg files both have this problem.  Interestingly, I can
play .mpg files fine through QuickTime and iTunes.  The other file

I can not listen any dvd using media player. I downloaded some codecs for
avi but I am not be able to hear avi dvds.
If I use other players I can see and hear standard dvds, but never avi ones.

I love using the random feature for a couple of reasons
1. I don't hear the same performer back to back
2. I have so many songs that if the songs go in order, I may not never hear
some of the songs. Random jumps around and I like that
