I have a Toshiba laptop running XP. This morning Windows Media started
opening and reopening repeately. I cannot get it to shut down, even
using Task Manager...it immediately reboots and fills the screen. It is
blocking all other programs from access by jumping to the front. I went

When i look in my add/delete programs list, I not only see WMP 11(which i
installed) but I also see an entry 'Windows Media Format 11 runtime' which I
do not remember installing. Is one dependent on the other? Can i safely
uninstall the runtime thing without affecting the WMP11 ...

I want to burn a Music CD, but I want the Artist and Title to show up (like
they currently do with retail music CD's) on my Car's CD player.

After the most recent bout of Windows Updates all of our domain PC's can no
longer play *.avi's files over the network using Windows Media player 10. If
we copy the file locally it works fine. Running off a mapped drive or UNC

Hello friends
Please help if you can.  Cannot play audio (mp3 or.wav) using Windows Media
Player 11 (DVD plays with no Audio) the only error message is that WMP cannot
play the file because of missing codec.  WMP is the default player with all
