I would like to set up a shortcut such that it starts to play a video
immediately and forces media player to go into full screen mode.

When I play videos on WMP10 my computer slows down considerably. When I look
at the system manager I see that 100% of my CPU resources is being used. When
I end the WMP process, things return to nomal. I've tried to uninstall and
reinstall the product, but it didn't seem to help. ...

I have windows xp and I have just downloaded windows media player 11 beta
2... ever since I have downloaded it I am unable to see the video with mpg
files! I can hear it but there is no picture just a black screen!
Any help anyone can give me would be very much appreciated :-)

Microsoft says to fix this error, do the following:
To verify your proxy server settings
On the Tools menu, click Options, click the Network tab, and then verify
your settings in the Streaming proxy settings area.

When I get a video email and try to open it, I can hear the video, but I only
see a black screen. Hope someone can help me. I am running the Media Player

When accessing training videos from online websites (e.g.
http://training.esri.com/gateway/index.cfm), I get no audio sound.  The
message "the file you are attempting to play has an extension that does not

I can not play MPG files. All other files I can play. AVI, WMA, no problem.

when i play an m3u file from the web, the player does not play the latest
version-- it keeps playing the old version of the file.
even if i click "Clear List" on the play list, close the player, clear my
browser cache, and refresh the page.

no CD or DVD burner detected press F5 to refresh - message displayed when I
try to burn onto a CD - I have burned cd's before though. How can I fix?   I

I have just done a clean install of Vista RC1, all went well until I tried
to play a DVD in MP11. Music all plays fine but I got no sound when I play a
DVD just a few pops from the speakers. Anyone got any ideas.

Hiya!  I'm a forum moderator over at www.anythingbutipod.com, as well as
someone personally trying out WMP11.  I'm posting here because I've
encountered significant problems with the player, as have a rapidly-growing
number of people on the forums I moderate, and am hoping this ...
