My problem is that when I minimize Windows Media Player it will not turn to
mini mode on the taskbar.
I know I have to right click on the taskbar and go to Toolbars>Windows Media
Player but it wont tick itself when I click on it.

yep, thats right. wmp 10 is dumb.  it changes or adds id3 tags to my files
when i play them.  i have all the "update my music" options off.  is there
anyway to destroy wmp 10 from existence?  please let me know!

Running XP Pro, SP 2, IE 7.0, and MP10.  When I launch an MPEG from a site,
it will download, but only play the audio.  I can close MP, launch the MPEG
again and it will play properly.  Anyone know what's happening?  Thanks.

Media player has been working fine, playing movies, videos music etc, Now
when i try to play a video (AVI) file it returns the subject error. Clicking
on send error report returns no further help.
It still plays songs OK.

Yes, I have checked all my cookie settings.  That is not the problem.
The 'My Stations' link (the little "+ Add to My Stations" button) on each

Is there a way I can make WMP11 record the Title & Artist Info on the burned
CD? Because it's really frustrating to make a CD at home, and take it to work
to rip it, and all the tracks are named "Track 01, Track 02, etc."

I have been unable to play videos when accessing links through internet

Here's my scenario:
I have enabled the user Guest on my laptop.
It is a volatile user. (Profile is deleted when logged out.)

On my XP SP2 PC wmp10.00.00.4036 does not display my movies (AVI, MPG etc) in
te right way: it only shows a flickering colorful patchwork. Disabling
accelareration doesn't help
