WMP 11 Upgrade Boo-Boo15 Nov 2006 04:52 GMT1
Boy, did I screw up!  I only use this program for listening to various
radio stations around the country and because some dim-witted
streaming websites require it or Real to view their material.  And,
I usually only upgrade when my current version stops working.  I
WMP 11 for x64 = BUST!15 Nov 2006 04:49 GMT1
Looks like Microsoft forgot to include a very important feature for those of us who actually like to keep track of and organize our media...
In any view, such as "Album" or "Artist", the "Find Album Info" or "Update Album Info" menu items are non-existent.
Is this "by design", ...
WMP 11 with tracks > 25515 Nov 2006 04:47 GMT1
I've got a problem with an album that has 500 tracks.  The tracks with a
number > 255 aren't displaying correctly.  Several have spaces for the track
number and sort to the top of the list.   Funny thing is when I check the tag
number with Advanced Tag Editor the track number is ...
CNN Video and WMP1015 Nov 2006 04:11 GMT2
I have a problem trying to watch CNN video. The video window opens, it
appears to want to start, pauses a bit then tries to start the next video
and stops.
Video clips from Sky News which also uses WMP work perfectly.
WMP 6.4 on XP15 Nov 2006 03:40 GMT2
I have followed zachd's directions for removing the association of
(say) .mpeg files to WMP 10, and recreating the association in WMP 6.4.
This allows WMP 6.4 to open mpeg files on disk.
However, if I click on a link to an mpeg clip in IE, IE does not seem
Where did Napster come come from?15 Nov 2006 02:36 GMT5
I opened Windows Media Player today and found an icon in the player of
something called Napster. I did not install this, and can not find it in the
software list to remove, nor can I find any other way to remove this. I would
like to know whether it is normal for WMP to add ...
no auidio from streamed video15 Nov 2006 01:23 GMT4
I just reinstalled WMP 11 for the third time, everything sounds great except
from certain videos I find in a specific website.  When I tried in a
different machine with a newly installed WMP 11, it worked just fine; on my
machine, I even tried accessing the same page with a ...
Adding Divx files to WMP library15 Nov 2006 01:21 GMT5
I have a collection of video files, some in AVI, some in MPEG, some in Divx.
The first two batches are updated automatically to my WMP library no problems
(the folder is specified to do this), but not the Divx files at all. I've got
a codec for them - they can play easily enough ...
No CD or DVD burner has been detected.  Press F5 to refresh the pl15 Nov 2006 01:12 GMT1
I've downloaded other software which strips Windows Media Player 10 of it's
ability to burn CD's and I get the above message.
The only way I'm able to fix it is if I remove the new software (Nero,
Sonic, and Music Maker 11 Deluxe have all caused this problem), and do a
I upgraded to Wndws Media Playrr 11 but sound is distorted14 Nov 2006 20:47 GMT1
I was using Windows Media Player 10 and the sound was perfect when I played

downloaded it twice to see if I was missing something but no ...

I'm not very experienced with videos so...
A friend of mine gave me a CD with some anime on it that she downloaded off
the internet. When I played it I could hear music and sound but could see no
video.
WMP 11 BUG - Playlist Title not displayed correctly14 Nov 2006 01:49 GMT8
If I click on "Library", select one of my existing titled Playlists, and drag
it to the playlist area on the right to start playing it, it suddently
becomes an"Untitled Playlist".
WMP11 Auto Playlists - where have they gone??????14 Nov 2006 01:42 GMT6
First off...I'm not too up to speed on Media Players per se, having
only just started using them in the last year.
I was using WMP10 and a feature I found of extreme usefulness was the
'Auto Playlists', particularly the lists that could tell me what I'd
Can't log on to MSN Music with WMP 1113 Nov 2006 22:49 GMT2
I just upgraded to WMP11 from WMP10. I have a subscription to MSN Music Plus.
I use it to listen to music on the radio. At least, I did before I upgraded
to WMP11.
In WMP11, if I click the little down arrow on the Media Guide button, and
Subtitles Not Displaying13 Nov 2006 22:41 GMT1
This is an issue I have on two computers, both of which have had WMP 11
installed. On my laptop, which still has WMP 10, the subtitles display
correctly. I uninstalled WMP 11 on my desktop, reverting to WMP 10, but still
cannot see the subtitles.
