After installing Windows Media player 11, I no longer have sound to any of my
devices... no winamp, no Quicktime, no flash, and surprise no Windows media
Player 11...
I'm pulling my hair out on this one.  Any suggestions out there on this?

since i updated to wmp 11 certain dvds have sound but the picture is just
green and black horizontal bars across the whole screen! (any ideas why I
have no picture? its happening on wwe dvds mainly! help please. im using xp
as the operating system.

Last night I was able to play a DVD on my computer using WMP 11. I'm using
Windows media center edition 2002 version with SP2. This morning I'm getting
the error code C00D116A and the same DVD will no longer play. I have NOT
altered my drivers nor done anything I can recall that ...

Just upgarded to WMP11 and most things are fine.
However, I want to get rid of the highly annoying Buy button on the top of
the list pane (I bought the CD and ripped it using WMP, and now it wants me

I am running Windows XP SP2 with two user accounts.
When logged in to my own user account, WMP has stopped playing mp3 and wav
files on the hard drive and audio cds in the optical drive. It will still
play midi files and mpg files with no sound on the hard drive and DVDs in the

Again, having the problem of WMP10/IE downloading mp3's to temp. folders
insteading of streaming them while online.
Anyone knows how I can adjust this to normal streaming again?

I have a small problem with my WMP 10, each time I want to listen to mp3
files on the web it will create a temporary folder for the file and then play
the file in 'now playing' after it has been downloaded to the temp folder.
The problem started after l installed QuickTime ...

when i play a video in WMP 10 i get a black screen....there is sound but no
picture...i did all that I can think of to fix it plus i cant find anything
that helps in the trouble shooting guides.....any ideas?

XP Home SP2 IE7 and WMP11.
Everything works fine except:
R Click Toolbar/Toolbars/select Windows Media Player.
When I minimise WMP11 the miniplayer pops up in the taskbar as it should and

Hardware is apparently ok according to Dell (it's their laptop), burner
appears on MS marketplace tested list but as Sony not NEC.  Have tried
troubleshooting but still does not work.  Please can anyone help?

window opens to the sign-in page of the web site, but not where the userid
and password box is.  There is horizontal arrow to scroll from side to side,

Anyone know why media player won't successfully burn a playable music CD? I
have a few tracks my band recorded on a digital recorder that I have uploaded
to my pc and they play just fine on it. I them try to burn them, it goes thru
the whole process of burning then closing the CD ...
