As I receive an email from a friend with a .wmv attachment, I try to open
and play it but I get error message C00D1198.  How do I find out my proper

Just recently my WMP 11 has decided to delete the odd track when playing
music. It happens every so often and appears to be random - when I try to
play the track which has been affected, a red cross appears next to it. When

At the lower left of the player, it displays A rotation of Title, Album
Artist, and Composer.  For many of my albums, this means I see only "Various
Artists," -- and I could care less about composer.

I just purchased a new ipod nano and cannot sync many the songs in my Windows
Media player to it.  All the songs that will not sync are the ones I have
purchased from MSN or Wal-Mart.  Anyone out there with an answer to

When I rip my CD's, I like to create a folder for that artist. Inside that
folder I create a folder for that album. I then rip the files into that
folder, named Track# - Song Title.
How can I tell WMP to create these parent directories when I rip a CD?

hi, I want to upgrade to sp2. The only problem with this is sp2 will change
WMP8 and upgrades to WMP9 in the process. There was no way to remove WMP10 in
sp1 so I reinstalled xp. My specs are service pack 1 home edition 2002.

Hi. I had WMP 10 installed on my Windows XP with SP2. I tried using the
Media Library feature of the same but after adding almost all my files
to the library, I noticed that a lot of my files were suddenly locked
