I am trying to view MPEG 2 files that I recorded widescreen on my Sony
handycam in WM.  It will not play in widescreen in WM, even though I recorded
in widescreen mode. I found an article in the MS Knowledge Base that
suggested you buy a codec from 4 different "MS approved" ...

When I play a music file through media player, or a radio station, the sound
is tinny and somewhat distorted. Normal windows sounds (chimes etc) all play
fine. My speakers are good quality and were working previously.
