My favorite inernet radio station (Jazztrax) uses something called MMS streaming. Where is this in Player 11? Another goof by MS?

Lately when I have been trying to copy any audio CDs to my hard drive I have encountered the message: Windows media player has encountered an unknown error. This is not in the form of a pop-up window - rather part of the 'copy from CD' page, before the PC ejects my CD.

I noticed that when I add my "Music Folder" as a Monitored Folder under the Add To Library box it add jpg files (AlbumArtsSmall.jpg and Folder.jpg) to my files. I don't want these files to be added, is there something that I can do so

In WMP10 I liked the little round button. You'd click it, and then mouseover 'Album', and you'd get a list of all the albums, without having to go to 'Library' - e.g. it was accessible from any view, including 'Now Playing' (OK, so it would be far more intuitive if you could ...

I noticed with auto ratings in WMP11 it no longer seems to increase the ratings if you've played the songs several times like WMP10 did. Is this a bug? It seems to do it more to songs that are rated with 1/2 stars. I also noticed that some albums i've ripped after playing the ...

when I open the media sharing link and put a check in the share my media box, then click o.k. it does not work it just sits for a few moments with the o.k. button unavailable then after a few moments the button becomes available again and I can repeat that process forever someone ...

I am reading about the AVI file format and have some question, if someone can help please. The AVI header shows two streams, and the 'movi' indeed has a set of "cktypeDIBcompressed" and "cktypeWAVEbytes" chunks.

I am new to ripping music from my CDs. Using the latest MS Media Player I can create wma files on my hard drive. Does this media player allow me to rip to MP3 or do I need another conversion program? Thanks in advance. W. Clinton Terry

I have updated to WMP11, I tried to make an MP3 disc and cant work out how to. In WMP10 there was the option when in the burn section to make an MP3 disc but I cannot find tht option with WMP11. This is very frustrating to me andany help would begrealy appreciated.

i have a video and i can only hear the sound but i can't see any pictures and my friend can play the file perfectly. when i click play, at the bottom to the right of play button some text scrolls by saying somthing about "error downloading codec" and it says some other things ...

My WMP (vers. 11) after i have loaded it, begin to use 100% CPU and to ask more and more RAM. This happens with all files audio and also if simply inactive. This don't happen with some files (video).
