I've just downloaded WMP 11 and I like it just fine - and it would be better
if I could get it to do certain things WMP 10 did for me.
First, I'd like a black background on my library window, "Now Playing"
window and list pane.  The enhancements portion of the screen defaults to

Searching for files, please help!16 Dec 2006 15:16 GMT1
In version 10 there was an option in the tools menu to scan your computer for
any new medai files and then they would be automatically added to the
library.  Now I have version 11 and it's not there.  I have many new songs
that I have downloaded and they don't show up in my ...

anything other then .wmv right now.  Visual is hazy or blurred, even with

this one and go back.  How can this be improved?

Major Problem with WMP11!16 Dec 2006 06:37 GMT2
I have this situation where WMP opens in the Windows Taskbar and nowhere
else. Once opened, there is no way to control it. It doesn't respond to Right
clicking on the Taskbar. I can not even remove it through the Add/Remove
Windows Components wizard. The only way to end the ...
Audio working just fine when I left for work16 Dec 2006 03:26 GMT2
this am but on returning this pm there is no audio of any kind. This has
occurred 3 times in the last month and my only solution thus far has been to
use system restore. While this does treat the symptom it does not address the
the actual problem. There have been no updates and ...
Media Player 11 is a backward step16 Dec 2006 00:43 GMT12
Having tried WMP v11 over the weekend, I've gone back to v10.
Pros.
The "Search" feature is helpful, but not that essential.
Ease of pasting "Album Art" is very good.
WMP 11 Video Genres15 Dec 2006 19:58 GMT1
How on earth do you add new video Genre's and change files to a
different one?  I've just installed WMP 11 and though all of my video
files show up more than 1000 of them have changed to "Unknown" and only
20 remain in their original Genre.  It works fine for music but the
I don't want ANY album art...any solution?15 Dec 2006 18:07 GMT2
I generally play music by opening a folder in Windows explorer and clicking
or dragging what I want, nice and simple.  But I'm getting really tired of
all these little jpeg files showing up that I don't want, and can't find any
way to turn them off.

I've looked all over for a playlist repair program and can't find
WMP 11 doesn't play mms:// file anymore after update15 Dec 2006 09:14 GMT2
I just upgraded to WMP11 (really cool interface, graphically that
is...) and it still has all my stored radio stations etc. However, I
just tried to listen to my favorite radio station (Vancouver The Beat
under mms://64.69.87.77/beatradio) which worked like a charm until the
