There seems to be lots of problems with WMP11 and Microsoft isn't very eager
to take its responsibility by fixing the problems soon.
So, here is THE solution: replace WMP11 by RealPlayer 10.5 from
realplayer.com.  During install of realplayer make sure you make it your

Why does it not play?28 Dec 2006 18:42 GMT5
What is the point in having the news available to you if you can`t have it
play on the MediaPlayer?  No matter what I tried, it won`t work.  Next day
help will probably be too late, since this was a local coverage only about
shopping after Christmas.  My son was on there (best ...

I am trying to play some AVI files that my family sent me in Windows
Media Player 10, but none of them work properly - no image, only sound.
They were working fine on WMP 9 before.  Could anyone help?
(On WMP 10, I got "error downloading codec" message on the status bar.)

In WMP 11, is there a way to see how many mp3 files are currently in the
library?
When I finish synching I like to confirm that both lists have the same
number of files.

Greetings All,
I ripped bunches of music to WMA format in WMP 10 way back.  I recently

Now NONE of my videos will show any video. Which is EXTREEMLY frustrating

Music/Movies still play when Media Player is Closed28 Dec 2006 01:52 GMT2
This is a recent problem. If I'm playing a music file or a movie file and I
directly close Media Player, I still hear the music or movie playing.
What I have to do is press "stop" then close Media Player.
Any advice on how I can fix this?
WMP 10, Error C0011CD, Nothing Plays27 Dec 2006 21:35 GMT2
