Seriously!! I loaded 11 and evertime I clicked on copy from CD or Media
Library a second time, it would freeze up WMP.  The scary thing was that it
would also freeze up my Internet Explorer program.  I gave up and loaded
10--its just as bad--now I can't even go into my control ...

edI have been copying music off my computer, and today it won't let me, it says Windows Media Player encounter an unknown error.  Help, what happened, and what can I do to correct this problem??

i had to reinstall windows xp today. I did an backup of my licences
before - now the restore fails:
- I started WMP 9 and tried a restore - it failed. The helppage said I
should install WMP10

hello I hope somebody can help me out in this ...but I cannot hear nothing
when I played my videos or music ..I check the properties in the sound system
area and all is ok ......I can hear a sound when I connect my earphones for
chat means when I talk I can hear my voice come ...

I am unable to get the sound to play on the WM11; however, I do have a
picture.  This is only when I play Region 2 DVD's.  
The DVD drive is set for Region 2 as well.
Please help.

I'm pretty new to the whole mp3 player thing.  I have downloaded some tunes
into Windows Media Player.  Can I load my son's iPod with wmp?  Or do I have
to convert them and load them with iTunes?

When I place my DVD in I receive the following message:
"windows media player cannot play the DVD because a
compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer"
1) What steps are necessary to correct this problem.

In MediaPlayer 11, although I have the option "Never" in automatically Rip
when CD inserted, whenever I insert a cd, it starts ripping without prompt.
A Bug? or something else

I downloaded a Mp3 v2 tag editor and spent about 2 hours fixing all of my
music how IIIIII wanted it.  Only to have WMP start making changes as soon as
I imported the library.  I had all 3 options that have to do with connecting
to the Internet or updating my media turned off!  ...

I see the following 6 system files in some of my music folders:
AlbumArt_{Contains Numbers and Letters}_Large.jpg
AlbumArt_{Contains Numbers and Letters}_Small.jpg
AlbumArtSmall.jpg

Any one know of any other players that will give you the same features as WMP
(such as auto playlist, never listened to playlists, full library view), but
doesn't take control of your music and only makes changes when you tell it
to?  If so let me know.  I've used MusicMatch ...
