I got this error just recently, "the video decoder has either malfunctioned
or is not installed.  Please
restart media center and/or the computer".  I used the windows checker and
got the decoder error

I recently upgraded to MP11 and since then when I try to run it , it hangs
up. When I look at the task manager it show 2 Media players running or both
of them not responding. Any suggestions as to what's going on?

In Windows Media Player 9 (or was it 10) I could save a vidio or audio that I
was listening to. I think by  "Edit  > Save As" or "Save Target".( Did not do
so very often so sorry not clear exactly.)
Using  W.M.Player11, I do not seem to be able to save what I am watching or

Each time when double-clicking a FLV file, it will bring up WMP 11 and a
message window asking me to confirm if to use WMP to play back this FLV file.

Does anyone have any idea why the player keeps dropping off ( paste album
art). I am trying to update all the music in my player. I have many songs
that I have converted to digital from LP records and 45 RPM. Most of the time

Everytime I try to get the WMP11 to download album art, titles, etc. it never
works. I cant connect to any online music stores either. I'm not working
offline. I made sure that the tab is checked for connecting to the internet.

I routinely rip CDs on one pC and share across network to other PCs.  All
files get ripped to same location.
I've noticed that there is sometimes a large delay (days) before these

A couple of days ago I did a clean reinstall of Windows XP SP2.  I did my
normal process of installing my video drivers, sound, etc.  After that, I
installed some updates, but did not install WMP 11.  I then tried to play a

Not to long ago WMP stoped reading the fact that I had a burner. I used to
use it all the time with out any major problems at all. I have WMP 11 now but
I had 10 when this started. I am running Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2.

I am having playing back mpg movies (with wmp version 11). The

file because the required video codec is not installed on your computer.
I downloaded an episode of Prison Break from the Web and can't play it due
