when trying to play mpeg files the video playback freezes just a second into
playback while the audio continues. I've done wmp updates to no avail. Does

Every time my Media Player 11 checks for updates, whether automatically or
manually, I get an error message stating that update cannot continue because
a newer version of WMP is already installed.  The windows for these updates
states boldly "Media Player 10".

I am running XP with SP2. I tried to upgrade WMP10 to WMP 11 & the download
(from the Microsoft website) when double-clicked said "is not a valid Win32
