I have a skin I like very much. Is there a way to make it permanent such
that whenever WMP is started by double clicking on a video or music file,
WMP starts with the skin already applied. Right now I have to choose the

I have a video file (college lectures in wmv format) and I'd like to
be able to hyperlink to specific times in the files (like where a
specific topic is being discussed at the 23-minute mark).

I've tried WMP 10 & 1, same problem on both.
My OS is XP Home sp2.
When watching WMP type video streaming files, I get no ability to view in
"full screen" mode.

The InterVideo WinDVD player works fine. The Windows XP video decoder checkup
utility shows that the decoder is OK. I've gone through all the
troubleshooting steps using the knowledge base article on troubleshooting and
.wmv files play fine. The DVD audio comes through but not ...

I can play a video with my grandchilderns playing. Some pictures are so good
that I would like to grab them as still pictures. Is this possible at all? Is
there a software that would do that? Can you recommed one?

When I try and open WMP I immediately get a message that it has stopped
working. I think the version is 11 but since it won't open I can't be sure.
It's months since it stopped, so I can't associate it with any particular
event or roll back a system restore.

I have Vista with WMP 11.  When I go to play streaming videos, from a site
claiming their standard is WMP 9, the video portion will not work, while the
audio will.  How come this newer version of WMP (11) will not play files that
work with an older version (9)?  Any suggestions?

I recently rebuilt my entire machine, and in doing so, upgraded to both XP
