Help please. This is driving me crazy. Media Player will no longer play mpegs. It will play WMVs. I can play mpegs with Nero Show Time and Quick Time, the same files that WMP won't, so the files are okay. Presumably the codecs needed are on my

Yesterday morning at around 8:30am, Windows Update informed of a usual round of updates from Microsoft for my system. I let them automatically install as normal. I am on Windows Vista, and keep my system and programs frequently updated.

I have an extensive music collection however my portable mp3 player is only 30gb.... Is there some way that I can choose which files get synced and which get ignored/skipped?

When I try to use WMP 11 on XP to share mp3 files I get breaks in the music whenever my computer opens a program. This does not appear to be a problem with my network or playback device (d-link 320) or indeed with resources on my computer.

All meida content, video and music, have been deleted on my computer. I have no idea how this has happened and cannot trace the content. Any new files I download are not present when I log out and log in. If anyone has any idea about this problem please respond.

I have a the vista media player 11.0.6000.6324 When I play an avi file which is supposed to be a video with sound, I get sound and no video. The avi file is stored in my external hard drive. The file plays on other computers, with vista, just not mine.

I received several mp3 folders, but some of the sub-directories are not appearing in the library. I can get to them from windows explorer. One example is my Allman Brothers folder which has 4 folders(sub-directories) under it which are specific albums, but only 2 of the 4 appear ...

Does anyone know if it's possible for WMP11 to rename underlying MP3 filenames using info from WMP11's tags? For example, I want to use a track's WMP11 artist name, album name, track number and track name tags to rename the MP3 file underlying that same library track.
