This is a media center PC with WMP 11. The WMP 11 library is usable
but will not update. Fixing the library by deleting C:\Documents and

When I play a ripped CD on my Vista Ultimate notebook, but the files are
physically located on my kids PC, after each song ends, WMP replays the
first 5 - 7 seconds of the last song before playing the next song. I have no
idea why this is happening, but it's kinda of annoying. ...

When I use the find album info for 1 song i have off of a Missy Elliot album
it takes songs from The Fallout Boy's album i already have in my library and
and puts them in the Missy Elliot Album. Why?

Right now it is the DLLHOST I keep killing it and it comes back I close WMP
and it stops. Usually it is the wmpencod (sp) that does it. Any ideas why or
how to fix it? I am just listening to WMA's or MP3's

Okay I download from Limewire...usually after I download a song I can hit the
explore button and a folder titled shared comes up. I then highlight the ones
I want to copy and past to media player...and then save it in a playlist
folder....with the new media player I cannot figure ...

Using Vista
can't play. wmv files, get:

Media player 10 had no problem applying the artist to all tracks when ripping
a CD.
Media player 11 will only add the artist to the first track, then apply
"unkown artist" to the remaining tracks.

I play oldies radio on my computer from time to time and have a
shortcut on my desktop for 'smokin oldies'.  It used to bring it up
in MP11 without any problem.  Lately I get this message:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not

just installed version 11, now i start and the window for the application is
not visible. I hear audio. Using the tab in the app tray to minimize and
restore, there seems to be something flying in from the right outside of my
screen.

Strange problem: when I doubleclick on a videofile (AVI, WMV,...) WMP
doesn't open.  I do hear the sound of the video but see no video.  WMP also
does not appear on the taskbar.  When I check the taskmanager wmplayer is
running as a process, not as an application.

I received a photo album on DVD from my cousin with background music.  I can
play the music or I can watch the slide show but not both at the same time.  
Anyone have any suggestions?
