When searching the media library, I would expect that searching for "cafe"
would include hits for "caf?"and vice versa. Since downloaded metadata is
wildly inconsistent in its spelling of artist names etc with respect to
accented characters, this would help reduce the inconvenience ...

I'm hoping someone here can help me with this problem.  
Before a few weeks ago media player was working fine and
