I have tried Intervideo plug-in, Power DVD, loaded
Directx, crashed the computer once and it cost me $300 to
fix and I still can't get any audio at all!
What's the secret?

I am using XP Pro and WMP 9. I can play .avi,.mpg, etc
without a problem. However, when I try to play a DVD
movie, I can hear the sound but and there is NO picture.
This is driving me crazy...can anyone help?

Our corporation has blocked website access to all streaming video & audio
including all of http:/www.windowsmedia.com... Is there a way to a) change
the the URL Media Player defaults to or b) take the Media Guide
function/button totally out of Media Player???
