I am using windows XP and media player 7 worked fine. Since upgrading all video downloads are purple and/or green and generally just poor quality.... And suggestions on what might be wrong??

Hell I have fixed IP address which i'd like to set as default in Win Media 9 - but when i go to the URL for Internet Connetion box i only see a new IP address each time i log onto my machine. There seems to be no way to edit this. How can i change this info to show and read only ...
