wen i watch video's on my computer with wmp...it works

Whenever I record a clip from the vcr, and I try to play back, I get a reply that cannot download the right codecs. The error message ID is: 0xC00D119A, Remedy ID = 0x00000000.  What that means? Anybody knows what I should do to solve this problem?

Media player is not showing video- no video just sound!  I
have tried playing media, and no video, just sound.

I have windows media player 9 for windows XP, it has worked fine for a while.  I clicked on it today and it makes a beep, does not give an error message, and refuses to open.  Is there any way to reinstall or fix Windows Media Player? Thanks for helping
