Can somebody please tell me whether WMP9 for MAC can work with MS WM digital rights management protected content?

player, but it would not work because it said I needed

How can you remove v9 ? - ive tried most things but even with file protection off  i cant get rid of it ?
I would suffer it hanging about but It doesnt work at all on my system  - it dials out so often my firewalls logs are gettting spamemd and it wont let me set a default player ...
