I got WMP9 for Windows 2000 and I want to play dvds on my media player. none of the windows plugins listed will work for windows 2000. is there another plugin out there or do i need to use an older media player? Any help is much appreciated... Thanks

I Would like to know if there is any web based software out there that would allow me to put my entire windows media collection online easily. I have Windows Server 2003 as well as windows media services running. I can manually create webpages and links to play my windows

How do I stop the files I play being stored in history under the file tab. I consulted technet and they say go to the privacy tab but there is no privacy tab

no matter what setting i use....when i re-encode a mpeg that i created from a cnoverted vhs-c video.....it plays back choppy..is there a fix or setting adjustment? i am trying to get a useable file format so i can edit the clip in movie maker.... at least the re-encoded will play ...

Is there any workaround by Microsoft to play avi's using 16-bit codecs on Windows 2000 or XP? I know under Windows 95 and 98 you could play either (32-bit or 16-bit codec)-encoded videos, but I haven't been able to do it in Windows 2000 or XP. I'm particularly interested in trying ...

I just downloaded the new version of windows media player now it won't go to the internet it keeps telling it cannot open the page and tells me the usual, check options etc. is there something that I can do to change it back to the old one? That worked fine.

When playing either audio or video files, a high pitched noise is being emitted - apparently something driver-related as numerous headphones and media packages have been used to try and find the source of the problem. Does anybody have any advice?
